Sustainable tourism

We are natives of the state of Pará and work in community-based tourism, which seeks to bring together local communities during the itinerary. We want people to have access to an ecological, sustainable, and fair-priced tourism option and to feel like they are part of nature and fall in love with it as much as we are in love with it.

We value respect for nature and local communities. We offer a specialized service in wildlife observation, with a focus on bird watching, which includes: accommodation, food, and guidance.

Fernanda Freitas

Biologist, master's degree in Environmental Biology (UFPA), and bird watcher since 2015. Currently, carrying out studies in the area of phylogenetic systematics and evolution of birds, birdwatching tourism, and environmental education at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). Acts as a guide for bird watchers birds in Santa Barbara do Pará and other regions of the state, is a community member of Agrovila Conceição and co-owner of the tourism agency Pará Birding Tour and Refúgio dos Naturalistas Ecolodge, in Santa Bárbara do Pará.

Danielson Aleixo

Biologist, master in Environmental Biology (UFPA), and bird watcher. He began observing birds at the age of thirteen under the influence of ornithologist and researcher Jacques Vielliard, who was his mentor in his first years of training studying the birds of the Gunma Ecological Park, in Santa Bárbara do Pará. He currently carries out studies in the area of phylogenetic systematics and evolution of birds at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), carries out environmental consultancy in the area of ornithology, acts as a guide for bird watchers in Santa Bárbara do Pará and other regions of the state, is a community member of Agrovila Conceição and co-owner of the tourism agency Pará Birding Ecolodge Naturalists Tour and Refuge, in Santa Bárbara do Pará.
